The Shimmy Mob EASA ("Emotional Abuse Signs Awareness") campaign is finally here! As part of the campaign, we have added a new dance event to help raise even more awareness to help prevent abuse and lower the statistics of domestic violence.
Why the focus on emotional abuse? The incidence of physical violence is increasing despite all the fundraising and recent public attention to the issue.
At Shimmy Mob, we believe that we can play a major role in helping lower the stats. A large number of these cases can be prevented by spotlighting early on the signs that precede the violence.
United, we dance using the same song and the same choreography, wearing the same t-shirt, sharing the same goals, during the same month, to bring awareness of the signs that precede domestic violence all over the world.
We invite women, men, children of all ages to participate. No dance experience is required.
Super fun! Join us! Be part of a greater difference.
Watch for the next EASA event.
