|Date||May 13, 2017|
|Location||RI State House|
|Address||83 Smith Street Providence, RI|
|Description||On May 13th, the Providence RI Shimmy Mob will again join over 2100 dancers from 171 other cities worldwide to raise awareness and funding to aid in the prevention of domestic abuse. This is Shimmy Mob's 7th year, and the Providence RI Team is participating for the 6th. Each team raises funds for local shelters/programs addressing domestic abuse. As small as a worldwide group we may still be, we have raised well over 1 million dollars. This year, the Providence RI Shimmy Mob Team has the honor of performing at the RI State House, between 1-3pm, as part of the Women's Project's Art-In. Our charity is the RI Coalition Against Domestic Abuse, and donations can be made at https://www.crowdrise.com/shimmy-mob-2017/fundraiser/anamcara. For more info on Shimmy Mob, visit shimmymob.com, or contact Anam Cara (Providence Team Lead, a.k.a Brenda Cotnoir) at firstname.lastname@example.org.|
